This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Cricut. I take pride in hand selecting the brands that I work with and represent. All opinions expressed below are 100% mine.
There is no secret that my Cricut has become my go-to for all of my projects. It is the best way to create things to gift your loved ones, personalize your own items, and everything you can imagine in between. Last year I used my Cricut Explore Air to create custom tumblers for my son’s kindergarten teachers then filled them with some goodies. They were a total hit. You can see the finished product here.
This year I decided to create custom cups for the kids. I thought it would be such a fun way to celebrate the new school year and give them something fun to use. These cups had both a drink and snack combination which made it the perfect choice for an after school treat.
I gathered up all of my supplies and got to work. For this project I chose Premium Vinyl in tomato red and green. The other supplies I needed were my Weeder, Scraper, and StrongGrip Transfer Tape – all of which are compatible with my Cricut Explore. Using Cricut Design Space I created a pattern that mimicked a crayon label. Instead of the typical brand logo I placed the kids initials and then used a rectangle and squiggle from the image gallery to create the ends. Then I changed them to red and green to match the cups I had purchased.
After designing and cutting the vinyl, I used the tools to transfer the design from the vinyl to the transfer tape. Then I placed the transferred design onto the bottles and maneuvered them as needed. When they were exactly where I wanted, I removed the transfer tape and smoothed any air bubbles.
The bottles are adorable and look like perfect little crayons. I’m so happy to have my Cricut which allows me to create things like this and so much more! Keep an eye out for my next project!
