As you would guess, life is chaotic.
Our furniture was moved in last Thursday, which has a whole lot of chaos on its own. The moving company couldn’t fit everything they said they could and it turned into a second trip to grab the rest.
But we’re here. We’ve been sleeping here five nights and it’s been a smooth transition. So far it’s actually been easier to get the kids to bed here than it had been at the previous house (knock on wood).
I’ve unpacked what feels like 1,000 boxes with 1,000 more to go. We’ve cooked meals here, had dinner as a family due to the close vicinity of M’s work, and it’s been amazing.
We had to take a break from the process on Sunday to celebrate our little guy’s (almost) 4th birthday at Chuck E. Cheese. I am usually a party planner and host, but with the move it was just not feasible. Shout out to them for handling all of the details and even acting as an event planner throughout the day.
The biggest change for us has been the kids being home. We didn’t really worry ourselves with finding a preschool before we moved and decided to take some time to settle first. That means it is Cam, Lily, and I everyday to take adventures and explore. It is both amazing and chaotic.
As we start to unpack and decorate some of the spaces, I will start sharing them on the home tour. Keep your eyes out for the first one!
