As everyone already knows – we settled on our forever(ever) home in February. It has been a long journey, but a very exciting one!
The movers will be at our house at 8am tomorrow morning to start packing us up for the big move. We’re all very excited to be sleeping in our new home for the first time!
Over the last few weeks we have had a few things done to the house, as well as doing quite a few ourselves. One of the most simple, yet most dramatic upgrades we have diy’ed is light fixtures.
With the help of Linea Lighting we were able to replace the outdated light fixtures. They provided us with a few beautiful new lights to put in their place.
The island in our kitchen had three pendants that were a flower shape, very outdated, but as you can see in the photo.. also very broken. I chose these Primo Industrial Factory pendants because they were simple and classic while still beautiful. They come in three different colors – polished chrome, brushed nickel, and antique brass.
The breakfast area in our kitchen had a ceiling fan that wasn’t bad looking, but something about a fan over the table is weird to me. I just picture a bunch of dust particles falling from the fan onto our plates of food. Ugh. We replaced it with the Terra Wood Globe which I’m in. love. with. This chandelier gives me all of the farmhouse vibes because I’ve seen similar on Pinterest 100 times. I cannot wait to fill this space with a round farmhouse table + metal dining chairs.
The final (and ugliest) light fixture upgrade was one in the formal dining room. It was home of a hideously outdated chandelier that happens to match the foyer, back staircase, and hall lights which we’ll get to at a later date. For now we switched out the gothic style fixture for the Lorenzi 4 Light pendant which is listed as a kitchen island chandelier but works well here. It’s a classic piece that I’m so excited to sit under for the next holiday meal together.
I’m so thankful to Linea Lighting for helping us to make these subtle yet HUGE changes to our new home. They’ve been such a pleasure to work with on this. For more beautiful light fixture options, be sure to head to their website and check them out!
