Growing up I was always so excited for the Easter Bunny to visit. My mom never went too crazy and I loved the simplicity of it. A basket full of candy and little trinkets hidden away on Easter morning to find. I am pretty much the same. Each year I fill their baskets with Easter theme candy and snacks, crafts, and little toys. Outside of the basket I grab a new pair of rain boots and a stuffed friends to love on – always with a spring theme.
My Easter Basket guide from last year can be found here, the previous year can be seen here, and below you will find some of my favorite additions for this year!
With the ages that my kids are right now (four and five, almost five and six) they are still into most of the same things. That means that the Easter baskets I put together are identical with only a color variation.
Basic things I pick up and use to fill our Easter Basket:
peeps
jelly beans
bandaids
play-doh
gel window clings
$1 crafts and activities
books
pajamas
Things included in our Easter baskets:
Lone Cone rain boots
Webster + Lucille the duck blabla kids stuffy
Land of Dough lux dough cups
peep felt Jersie Louise Handmade necklaces
Mimigem bead bracelets
Real Shades sunglasses
Ooly stickers + tattoos
Pottery Awesomeness painting kits
London Littles pajamas
Let me finish this by saying that every parent is different. It is okay that we don’t all do the same thing for every holiday. Honestly, life would sure be boring if we did do the same thing.
It is okay if you don’t do Easter baskets.
It is okay if you do simple Easter baskets.
It is okay if you do extravagant Easter baskets.
It is okay if you do candy filled Easter baskets.
It is okay if you do learning game filled Easter baskets.
We’re all parenting the best way we know how and that isn’t always going to be the same. There is no judgement here. I’m simply sharing what works for myself and my family hoping that it will give you and idea or two for your own family.
