To say that we’re BIG fans of Halloween would be an understatement. Pumpkins, costumes, candy corn, spooky movies, haunted houses – all of it. Every year we celebrate by taking in all of festivities. This year we ventured to Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights opening night! It was the perfect way to get us into the spirit of Halloween and jump start our season.
Halloween
When you visit Hersheypark in the Halloween season, there is something for everyone! Little ones can take a walk through Treatville for a trick-or-treat adventure collecting candy from 13 stops! Then pop into the Character Glow Dance Party! There you will find your favorite characters dressed up and getting their dance on.
If you’re the kind of person who visits the park for the snacks, the Hersheypark Halloween Tasting Pass is the way to go! They have added a bunch of savory and sweet treats to their already delicious menu. With a few of them having a very, very fun spooky twist.
Dark Nights
After 6PM the park turns into “Dark Nights” and you will be faced with frightening, terrifying, and hauntingly scary characters. They are scattered throughout the “scare zones” and will catch you by surprise around every corner when you least expect it. The haunted houses open their doors to visitors and you’re welcome to brave your way through.
If you’re venturing through the scare zones with little ones, you can grab them a “no boo” necklace letting the cast members know to keep their distance. A few of the shops are outfitted with halloween, Dark Nights, and spooky souvenirs. You will also find that the shops have swapped out their usual prizes for more.. festive ones!
ZooAmerica
Beginning on October 11th, you can make your way through ZooAmerica with flashlights to check out the animals during their favorite time of day (the night)!
Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights will run through November 3rd with park hours from 5pm-10pm on Friday and 12pm-10pm on Saturday and Sunday. While Dark Nights begins each night at 6pm and runs until 11pm. Grab your tickets here.
