the home tour – master bedroom

If you scroll through my Pinterest boards you will find pin after pin of spa like bedrooms. I have always wanted a master bedroom that truly feels as though you’re in an oasis of calm. Yes, I know that sounds like something you’d hear on House Hunters, but it’s true.

For our master bedroom I picked a beautiful shade of blue-green, a very popular Sherwin Williams paint color called Sea Salt. It is the ultimate calming tone and allows you to feel like you’re laying on a beach somewhere. It’s perfect.

Since moving in we decided to upgrade our bedroom furniture to a set that fit this space a little better. This line of furniture is by Trisha Yearwood and was purchased from a local chain, Wolf furniture.

Our bed is always outfitted with Linens & Hutch because they truly make the most comfy, durable, and beautiful bedding I’ve found.

This master suite is equipped with a sitting area that we didn’t have furnishings for. Because of this, we picked up this gorgeous pair of accent chairs and an accent table from Home Depot. I pulled the space together with a cozy shag rug by Nuloom from from Rugs USA.

The room didn’t have a ceiling light in the center as it had been capped off, but we added this nautical style fan from Kichler Lighting. Some of the wall space was a little awkward so I struggled at first to figure out how to fill it. Ultimately I decided to hang these IKEA picture ledge shelves and add a mix of picture frames. You can see a photo of my son helping me to fill the shelves up in my IG post here. It really finishes off the room in a simple but beautiful way.

Every morning that I wake up in this space, I feel so much joy. It is truly one of my favorite spaces that I have decorated in any of our homes.
