It is no secret that I love to celebrate all of the small moments in our lives. Sometimes that means an ice cream treat for a perfect math test. Sometimes it means a basket of things to play with all summer. I find it much easier for me to pull all of the goodies together at one time and gift the kids instead of looking for me throughout the season. To celebrate the last day of a wonderful school year, I’m surprising the kids with this bag of summer essentials!
I made sure to pick a bag that I knew the kids would be able to use long term. These bags are durable, lightweight, and perfect to multi-use. From the beach this summer to extra curricular activities throughout the year, they’re an investment for us.
We have a two hour car ride between our home and the beach house so I like to grab things for the kids to do while in the car. A few sticker and activity books will keep them busy for a bit. I also added summer pop-its for fidgeting with. When we get to the beach house they can play with the bubble cameras and paint the summer wood crafts.
A beach towel, bathing suit, water bottles, hats, and sunglasses are obvious choices for summer celebrating! I then grabbed some festive pajamas (as usual) and summer theme ‘I Can Read’ books for bedtime excitement.
There was originally a pack of water balloons, pool toys, and spray foam in the bags as well, but on a super hot weekend day I gave in and gifted those early. What’s the fun in celebrating if you can’t pause and celebrate it all?
I’m happy to share links for any of the things above!
