We’re in quite a trying time right now. People all over have no idea what they are or aren’t going to be allowed to in the next day, week, or month. I know how difficult that can be. My position as a blog writer is not one that is on leave. Because of this, the blogs that I write about holiday’s and gifting will continue on. If that isn’t something that you’re interested in right now, there are no hard feelings.
I’m not here to urge you to spend money.
I’m not here to tell you that you’re required to put together baskets.
I’m not here to enforce Easter baskets on you.
I’m not here to make you feel like less of a parent.
As a mom of two toddlers I know how quickly they are to fight over things. Since learning that I have made sure that whatever I buy for one, I buy for the other also. Everything comes in two’s.
The interior of their baskets this year have similar things as last year with some new additions. Wildkin was kind enough to send me plush blankets which I rolled up in the back. Another fun shop Real Shades sent the kids each two pairs of sunglasses which I added in their rain boots and hanging on the front of their baskets. Then I headed to my trust friend Target for some fun little add in’s.
Things to pick up as Easter basket stuffers:
loopseez rubber bracelets
Pez dispensers
bubble wands
puzzles
bath bombs or bubble bath
bandaids
bath paint + soaps
chalk
Color Magic markers + books
For their ‘big’ basket pieces this year I partnered with Cuddle and Kind and received their adorable Chloe and Benedict bunny (an obvious choice for the holiday). For every one doll sold, they give 10 meals to children in need.
Last year I stuffed new rain boots from Lone Cone with goodies. Due to the fact that kids feet grow at a rapid rate, I picked up two new sets this year.
I completed their Easter baskets by adding these adorable pennant flags from Shirlee’s Shoppe. She makes them for all holidays, birthdays, and just for the fun of it!
During these difficult times, please remember to support the small shops (like the ones I’ve mentioned above) as this is their livelihood.
