Our children are no strangers to the water. We have always been a family that spends a lot of time on boats, in/around pools, and we’re even putting in a pool at home this year. Because of that, swimming lessons are mandatory.
After learning about survival-first swimming lessons at British Swim School we knew that it was the route we wanted to go. It is not only important for kids to know how to swim, but also to know how to survive should they be in a dangerous water situation.
From the first class I knew that the highly trained instructors were superior after they took the time to ensure that my children were comfortable. This was the priority above all else. When my son wasn’t ready to go under right away, they altered the skill practice to suit his needs. The quick on their feet adjustment and patience with him was really something to witness.
They offer a class for every age bracket and skill level starting from infants to adults. There is no better time to learn how to swim/advance your swimming skills than right now. You can find out which class is right for you/your child by answering a few short questions.
Based on the questions I answered, both of my kids are enrolled in the ‘Minnow’ class. This is the beginning of the water survival program and requires that they be acclimated to water, able to enter and exit the pool safely, glide independently, among other skills.
