One of the really fun aspects of parenting is getting to share parts of your childhood with your kids. With National Power Rangers Day coming up on August 28, it’s the perfect time to give them a look into 90’s television. If you were like me, you spent time watching and wanting to be just like them (the Pink one especially)!
I grabbed a few Power Rangers plates and got the table set for a festive snack. Both Netflix and Nickelodeon have the new series Power Rangers Dino Fury which brings together your favorite rangers AND a prehistoric crew of dinosaurs. Is there anything better?
Find the series on Netflix here and Nickelodeon here
Before we got started watching the series, we headed over to Instagram and used the new IG filter from @PowerRangers to find out which Dino Fury Power Ranger we are! This made the show so much more fun to watch because we got to follow our character around and pretend to be there throughout the series.
When you’re ready to take a break from your Power Rangers marathon – use these all-new diversity and inclusion themed activity sheets to stretch your body and work out your mind. We did a short stretch with the “strike a pose” portion then challenged our brains with the word search. Of course afterward we had to stop to play with our action figures for a minute too!
The best lesson we can all learn from the Power Rangers has always been the same. No matter how many years, how many seasons, how much time goes by – they have taught inclusion and diversity every step of the way. We can all be Rangers!
It’s morphin’ time!
