Easter bunny shirts for the family

One of my favorite ways to make a holiday or party special is to create fun shirts. I started with my son’s dinosaur party a few years ago and loved having the family in a theme shirt for the festivities. Having a Cricut has made it super simple for me to put together shirts last minute. With Design Space I am able to use the fonts and other elements to make custom designs for any theme. I even started keeping blank shirts on hand for last minute projects or dress up days at school.

For Easter this year I decided to throw together these bunny shirts for myself and the kids. I wanted to keep it super simple so I added Mama Bunny, Brother Bunny, and Sister Bunny on some of the blanks I had on hand. This was my first time creating shirts for Easter, so I wanted to keep it super simple. Using the ‘birthday bash’ font which gives a playful, chunky looking vibe to the design.

The machine I use most is the Explore Air 2 which I received for Christmas a few years ago. After I felt like my designs were complete, I got my materials ready to cut. Always making sure to mirror the image allowing it to cut properly to iron-on after. It has been easy to learn and so much fun to explore. I feel more and more adventurous with each project I complete. I used Cricut Iron-on (HTV) in pastel colors to give the shirts a very spring/Easter feel.

Once the designs were cut I used the Weeding Kit to remove the excess vinyl and prepare my design to iron. Afterwards I used my EasyPress to heat transfer the design on each shirt. For my shirt I had to iron-on the three different colors separately. Now we’re all ready to wear our festive shirts for Easter Day!
