Giving my kids useful gifts that will last is very important to me. Bonus if they’re also educational. That is why we started the 12 days of Christmas books and continued it easy year.
I have previously shopped for them at Barnes & Noble, but this year I shopped on Amazon to make it easier (and less expensive).
Most of the books are non-Christmas related so they can stick around throughout the year. I usually select two or three holiday themed books that will get stored at the end of the season to come back out next year.
Each book is individually wrapped, with a separate wrapping paper for each, then placed altogether. This particular wrapping paper is perfect for my dinosaur + mermaid loving littles while also adding a Christmas touch with the Santa hats, presents, and snowflakes. They were both picked up from Target, then I grabbed the twine, clothespins, and ornaments from the Target Dollar Spot.
Below is the list of twenty-four books that I purchased this year, divided by child. You will see the Christmas specific ones at the bottom.

What kind of car does a T. Rex drive?

I used to wrap and number them to ensure that the Christmas books would be opened closer to Christmas, but I decided not to worry about that this year. Once the day comes that we’re set to begin, I will remove the books on their current shelves and replace them with these wrapped ones instead.
This gives out bedtime routine an added little piece of magic each night!
