Cam + Lily’s back to school baskets

Honestly I cannot believe that I am about to say this, but there are twenty-eight days left until school starts for us. After sending Camden off to a very unknown kindergarten situation last year, I am hopeful that this year we will be able to send them into a more stable experience. We have a year of this elementary school under our belt so we are familiar with the building and staff, thankfully, and they are beginning to put the usual events on the calendar which makes me so happy.

Each grade will have a back to school night – getting to see the classroom that our babies will learn and grow in, meeting the teacher that we will pass our littles off to, seeing the hallways that they will explore and get to know so well. My heart feels so full knowing the experience will be more ‘normal’ for them but so heavy to be at this point in my motherhood journey.

To celebrate the season I have put together baskets with a bunch of fun, non-typical, back to school goodies. We received our school supply list filled with pencils, crayons, folders, and everything in between. I decided to make the baskets a little more fun by adding learning tools, necessities that aren’t on the supply list, and a few other odds and ends. Take a look and maybe you will find something your little might like too!

Rather than gift my kids little things every time I come across them, I collect them and put them together in a basket to give all at once. I don’t really have a set schedule for these, it is dependent on what I find and what that season life looks like for us. This may seem totally unnecessary to you and that is one hundred percent okay. We don’t all parent the same and there is nothing wrong with that. I like to provide you with the ideas and inspiration on ways to make little moments even more special. Last years bin can be found here. Enjoy!
