beat the cold with a special trip this winter

If you’ve followed me on social media for a little while you know that we took a trip to Orlando, FL in October. I wasn’t sure how smoothly the trip was going to go considering I had been away the week prior, but it was perfect. Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa is conveniently located just THREE miles away from Walt Disney World. They even offer a shuttle service to and from the parks allowing you to leave your car behind and avoid the costly parking fees.

We had the pleasure of being hosted by the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa for three nights. Traveling with kids can be tricky, especially when it comes to sleep. Thankfully they booked us a two bedroom suite which was more room than we could have imagined. With a two bedroom, two bath suite there was plenty of space for each person to wind down at the end of a long day without being squished into a tiny hotel room.

My mom and Lily decided to share the second bedroom giving them each a full size bed. This room is located off of the kitchen, near the washer + dryer, with access to the second bathroom. Cam decided to sleep on the couch because he’s a ‘big kid’ but mostly because it meant he could watch whatever he wanted on TV without having to share. This gave me the entire master bedroom + bathroom to myself.

The suite comes equipped with a full kitchen which is stocked with all the cooking essentials you could need. This helped us cut down on the cost of eating out by grocery shopping and cooking most meals in our room. We also had a patio with table + chairs to enjoy sitting outside in the cooler evenings.

From our room we could see the amazing Pirate Plunge Pool – which was easily my kids favorite part of the entire trip. Having a kid-friendly pool so close, never too busy, with the kindest employees made the visit that much better. They have pool floats and tubs on hand for your use and a poolside bar/lunch spot.

We had the unfortunate experience of having our flight delayed leaving us with an entire day free. After spending some time at the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores (within walking distance) we headed to the pool to swim and have lunch. The kids were able to participate in some poolside crafts hosted by the staff. Afterwards, the very kind manager allowed us to utilize one of the time share rooms to get changed after having to check out of our room on time. This allowed us to enjoy our day and still have the ability to get ready for the upcoming flight. For this, we are forever grateful.

Next time you’re headed to Orlando, Florida I would highly suggest this resort. No matter the size of your party, you can find a suite(s) to accommodate you. Why go anywhere else when you can stay here with the ease of your own kitchen, ample space, luxurious spa, restaurants, convenience store, and much more.
