family vacation ’25 – Baha Mar, Bahamas

The summer has started off strong with the end of school, districts, swim meets, GWL, and our family vacation! We spent a few weeks between destinations before discovering the option to take a family trip that M won. The vacation was planned for Rosewood Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas with a few company events and excursions. We extended the trip by arriving a few days early to really make the most of it. Check out our previous trips to Hershey Park, glamping, and Legoland.

Rosewood Baha Mar

Baha Mar is a beautiful resort with three hotels, casino, spa, golf course, water park, and tons of restaurants. Each hotel has a unique vibe and shares the main grounds. We stayed in Rosewood which also offers an up-scale feeling with private pools and beach access for only their guests. Throughout the resort you’re able to see tortoises, flamingos, nurse sharks, and fish.

Baha Mar has a variety of pools throughout the resort. While Rosewood offers pools that you’re only able to check out if you’re a guest. We spent most of our time in the Rosewood pool. The kids were able to swim freely and splash around without worry.

Cable Beach

The Baha Mar resort gives access to private sections of Cable Beach for resort guests only. We spent a lot of our time on the beach this trip. Between swimming, lounging, collecting shells, even renting jet skis! The all inclusive space let us to spread out and really enjoy our time. When we weren’t lounging in the water, the soft sand allowed us to easily dig for shells and build castles.

Baha Bay

The resort water park, Baha Bay, has a little bit of something for everyone! It sits on 15 acres with a lazy river, surf simulator, wave pool, water slides, battle zone, and more. Sometimes only long enough to ride our favorite slides before running back to the pool. The group had booked the surf simulator for us to enjoy privately. The kids were huge fans of the challenge.

Restaurants

We explored a variety of restaurants while staying at Baha Mar. There was mexican at Costa, sushi at Katsuya, seafood at Marcus Fish & Chop House, comfort bites at The Swimming Pig, and epic milkshakes at The Sugar Factory. With such a range of options we were able to eat something we love each night we were there. Our travel group also hosted a “welcome party” and “farewell dinner” for a portion of our stay.

Royal Blue and Sense Spa

While the boys took on the #1 ranked golf course, Royal Blue, the girls checked out the spa. You’re able to rent clubs, but our boys brought theirs along with us. They spent the morning shopping the pro shop and playing 18 holes. The Sense Spa offers a ‘youth bloom’ facial that I booked for Lily. A parent is required to be in the room at all times, we had a couples facial together. She was in AWE of the experience and is definitely a spa girly.

Reel Dreams

One of the excursions we were really excited to book was charter fishing. We chartered a boat with Reel Dreams Sport Fishing Charters and chose the ‘in-shore’ option. They had us trolling for fish before we anchored down to do some bottom fishing. Cam had so much fun reeling in a bunch of types then we all grabbed a pole. The captain and first mate helped us out so much and made the experience really fun for all.

Overview

As can be seen, we had so much fun while we were at Rosewood Baha Mar, and would definitely head back again. There’s lots of activities to do, places to eat, shops to visit, and events at any given time. You’re sure to stay busy or relax – whichever you prefer! Throughout the resort we found a ton of photo opportunities to take advantage of. Next time you’re looking for somewhere to takAe your family, consider Baha Mar!
